Hobart’s Hope & Anchor (the oldest pub in Australia) was the venue for an interesting evening last night. The net-working group CWILLS (Children’s Writers & Illustrators) met informally in the cosy bar, then we joined a SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators) group where we shared our latest news and triumphs. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and a presentation about marketing by author/illustrator Christina Booth. Christina gave us lots of useful tips for marketing and I’m sure we all took away some new ideas. Thanks to Anne Morgan for organising the successful evening.
