Loved the Tamar Valley Writers Festival 18-20 March. With perfect Tasmanian autumn weather, the town of Beaconsfield is an ideal setting for this event as it creates such a relaxing vibe. Lots of big names on the programme: Bob Brown, Phillip Adams, Kerry O’Brien, Justin Burnside, William McInnes etc etc. Put some faces to names in the YA field too, and their insights were illuminating. Petrarch’s bookshop had a very well-stocked selection, and they kindly took some copies of my YA novel, May Day Mine, to sell in their Launceston shop – thank you so much, Petrarch’s! Congratulations to the organisers and looking forward to the next one in two years’ time!
